Our work at the Holzbauforschung Mainz | Timber and Plastics Research Group of the Hochschule Mainz | University of Applied Sciences is focused on the challenges of our time: Climate change, resource efficiency, sustainability and preservation of our built environment.

We are advancing timber in construction and promoting the use of wood as a sustainable and versatile building material. The results of our research and activities are reflected in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in International Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering in Construction studies.
